Elementary School:
If your child will be absent or you are picking your student up early, please fill out the Elementary Attendance Form. 

Middle and High School:
Attendance is extremely important during the summer because instruction is intensive and concentrated. The school strongly discourages missing summer programs for any reason. For example, leaving early or missing days for sports camps, vacations, routine medical appointments, and/or conferences may not be excused and make-up work/quizzes/exams may not be provided. Frequent tardiness disrupts the classroom and puts the student at a disadvantage.

Excessive absences/tardies may result in dismissal and in receiving no credit for credit bearing courses. For credit-bearing courses, absences are not to exceed three days. No refund will be given. 

Parents/guardians should complete the MS/HS Attendance Form Form by 8:00 a.m. each day that the student is absent, tardy, or needs to be excused early. If a form submission is not received, the absence may be considered unexcused.

• What time is ES drop off? Drop off begins at 7:15 am.
• Where do we drop off and pick up? A traffic flow map and student placard will be provided prior to the start of summer.
• Can I walk my elementary student/non-Mid-Pacific student on the first day? Which parking lot is best to try? Parking will not be available, but you may drop them off at the ES gate and volunteers will escort students in.
• Can a MS student walk home or do they need to be picked up/dropped off? Your child will be allowed to walk home.
• How do we know how to get to class? Volunteers will be directing students on how to get to class for the first few days of our programs. We will also try to pair students who are in similar classes together and encourage them to walk together.
• How early can I drop off my MS or HS student? When do they have to be picked up? Middle and High School students are welcome on our campus after 7:15 AM. Students can enjoy sitting in front of Weinberg, in Watase Courtyard, on the benches in front of Chew Tech, or on the Hala Courtyard. Middle & High School students are welcome on our campus throughout the day. Feel free to pick up at a time your family feels most comfortable.
  *Please note that there is no adult supervision when your child is not enrolled in a class.
• If my child is only swimming after school for the first two weeks, do they go to lunch or do I pick them up at the Autoline and then walk them down to the pool? Your child can stay for lunch and walk to the pool with the swim group. Please pack a home lunch for your child to enjoy. Please let us know your intentions. 
• If our child is only attending swim class during the day, may we stay parked by the gym during the class? Yes, parents can park in the stalls facing the soccer field and wait or feel free to watch the classes from the bleachers.
• My child has swim class at 12:30, should we pick them up at 12 and send them over to swim class or will the swim teacher pick them up from the class? Students who attend our ES Summer Programs classes who are also registered in our Swim Program classes will be escorted to the pool by our Supervisors. If your student’s day ends after swimming, please pick them up at the pool.

• Are you able to take two back-to-back PE courses during the summer, which would count for 1 credit total? Only 0.5 credit can be earned in the summer for the duration of high school.
• Do students need to bring their own device (laptop or tablet), and is it required for all grade levels? For most Elementary School classes, iPads aren't needed; if required, the school provides them for in-class use. Non Mid-Pacific MS & HS students must bring their own iPads, and a Technology Form can be requested via email. Mid-Pacific students receive iPads, and they can keep them for the 2024-25 school year after the Summer Programs. Check the course description for device requirements.

• Can non Mid-Pacific students take classes for credit? Yes, but please check with your respective home school to ensure that the credit will be accepted.

• Can I register my Elementary School-aged child for only a 10:15 am morning class and then some afternoon classes? No, due to drop off safety, all ES students must register for both 8:00 & 10:15 am classes in order to enroll in afternoon classes. Students in middle school and high school can register for any classes throughout the day.

• Can MPX students take credited courses like IS Chemistry or US History during the summer? No. MPX students cannot take credited courses that are being offered in their classes during the school year. However, MPX students CAN take credited courses like Health and PE.

• Summer Programs Lunch Menu
• Will lunch be available for students to purchase? Yes, lunch must be pre-ordered via Camp Brain for the entire registered program, no day-by-day purchases. The Snack bar will be available daily for Middle and High School students, a MyKidsSpending account will need to be created with funds deposited. Please email globalx@midpac.edu if you would like to set up an account.
• Will Scudder be open for lunch? If you did not pre- order lunch, Scudder Snack Bar will be open. Students will need to pay via MyKidsSpending (MKS). Scudder will also be open for students to sit and eat.
• How do you create a MKS account? Please refer to this guide for setting up a MKS account. 
• Do my students need the MKS app to buy a snack? Non-Mid-Pacific students and incoming MId-Pacific students do not need the MKS app to make purchases. Just be sure funds available for purchases on their account. The cafeteria staff will have a list with the student ID information. All non-Mid-Pacific students will receive an ID and Mid-Pacific students can use their SY23-24 student ID to make purchases. 

The following refund policy schedule applies when students withdraw from any course, unless otherwise noted:

Refunds are based on the date when the GlobalX Office receives written notification from parent/guardian(s) for withdrawal. Summer Programs Classes, including Swimming & Tennis:

• 50% of the amount paid will be refunded if notice of cancellation is received by May 1, 2024.
• No refund will be given if notice of cancellation is received after May 1, 2024.
