Through visits to cultural landmarks, historic sites, and natural spaces across O‘ahu, you’ll engage in meaningful, real-world learning that connects language, culture, and community. Back on campus, continue the journey through creative, hands-on activities—strum ‘ukulele, paint island-inspired art, or dance hula.

“There are three reasons why I was interested and happy! The first, is that the teacher is very kind. If there is something I don’t understand in class, she thought me kindly. The second, the class was polite easy to understand and fun. There were games and quizzes, so I had fun in class every day. The third, I gained a lot of experience. I was able to learn about Hawaiian culture by going to the university, shopping, and going to the park. I had a great time, it was really enjoyable!”
