Summer Athletics

Tennis Level Descriptions:

Jump Start

Jump Start Tennis is designed for players with no previous experience or with minimal knowledge of the basic tennis strokes. Students will be introduced to the proper stroke technique in areas of the serve, forehand, backhand, and volley.

High Performance Returning Intermediate

High Performance Returning IntermediateTennis is designed for players who have participated in ILH Intermediate Tennis, in USTA leagues, and/or in sanctioned Hawai'i sectional competitions.

High Performance Returning Junior Varsity

High Performance Returning Junior Tennis is designed for players who have participated in ILH Junior Varsity Tennis, in USTA leagues, and/or in sanctioned Hawai'i sectional competitions.

High Performance Returning Varsity

High Performance Tennis Returning Varsity is designed for players who have participated in ILH Varsity Tennis, in USTA leagues, and/or in sanctioned Hawai'i sectional competitions.

Swim Level Descriptions:

Tiny Tots II

Tiny Tots II is for children five and six years old who are willing to put their face in the water but are not able to swim.

Tiny Tots III

Tiny Tots III is for children five and six years old who are comfortable in the water but are not able to swim more than 5 yards.

Tiny Tots IV

Tiny Tots IV is for children five and six years old who can swim freestyle and backstroke and breathe rhythmically for 10 yards.

Beginner Swimmer

The Beginner swimmer is for children seven (7) and older who are willing to put their face in the water but are not able to swim.

Intermediate Beginner Swimmer

The Intermediate Beginner Swimmer is for children seven (7) and older who are comfortable in the water but are not able to swim more than 5 yards.

Advanced Beginner Swimmer

The Advanced Beginner Swimmer is for children seven (7) and older who can swim freestyle and backstroke and breathe rhythmically for 10 yards.

Students must be able to independently undress and dress into swimwear. Students must bring and be able to apply their own sunscreen or wear proper fitting rash guards.

Students who are registered for the 12:10 p.m. swim class AND attend morning class AND Afternoon Camp will have lunch at the Elementary School after swim class.
