Tsukuba School Visit
Our Grades 3 and 4 classes recently had the pleasure of hosting 34 students from Tsukuba Elementary School in Japan. This special visit allowed Tsukuba’s Grade 4 students and their teachers to join our classrooms for a day filled with engaging activities and cultural exchange. The event kicked off with our guests leading an origami workshop, showcasing the intricate art of Japanese paper folding. Following this, some of our students took the opportunity to introduce the visitors to Spheros, demonstrating how these spherical robots are used and controlled. The highlight of the day was a shared musical performance, where students from both schools came together to sing a song, symbolizing the unity and friendship between the two cultures. To commemorate their visit, our guests from Tsukuba were presented with omiyage (gifts) crafted by our Mid-Pacific students, including friendship bracelets and bookmarks, as a token of our appreciation and friendship.
