Norman Ching ’58 Scholar Athletes

Honolulu, Hawai‘i — We are pleased to share that two Mid-Pacific freshmen, Kamalu B. and Mari W., have been named the inaugural recipients of the Norman ’58 and Grace Ching Scholar-Athlete program, established by the Ching family. Chosen through a thoughtful selection process, Kamalu and Mari demonstrated outstanding qualities that reflect the spirit of the program.

This endowed fund supports student-athletes from their freshman through senior years by providing meaningful experiential leadership opportunities. Through these experiences, scholars will build a strong foundation and a clear sense of purpose—preparing them to lead both on and off the field while inspiring a lifelong commitment to giving back to the Mid-Pacific community.
