We recognized two exceptional seniors during today’s class assembly, Samantha Hart ’24 and Youngje Park ’24. Samantha received the National Indigenous Award (NIA) from The College Board to acknowledge her outstanding achievements. She earned this distinction with a 3.5+ GPA, a PSAT/NMSQT score that ranked in the top 10% among assessment takers in Hawaii for the NIA, and her Indigenous/Native identity.

Youngje was also honored for being acknowledged as a Commended Student in the 2024 National Merit® Scholarship Program. Commended Students are recognized for their exceptional academic promise, as demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test for program entry.

At the class assembly, they were recognized by academic leaders: Elizabeth Cleary, the Vice President of Academic Affairs; Rebecca Hodge, the Middle and High School Assistant Principal for Student Life; Kym Roley, the Middle School and Assistant Principal for Academics; and Sean Ohira, the Director of College Counseling.

Congratulations to Samantha and Youngje!
