Jackson Ibarra ’24 Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist

Congratulations to Jackson Ibarra ’24 on being a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist! Jackson is a student leader, the captain of the Varsity Golf team, and a full IB Diploma candidate. Additionally, he was honored with the Dartmouth Book Award in 2022.

Over 1.3 million juniors in about 21,000 high schools entered the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2022 PSAT/NMSQT, which served as the initial screen of program entrants. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the high-scoring entrants in each state. Jackson will now continue in the competition for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered to those who advance to the Finalist level of the competition next spring.
