International Baccalaureate Program at Mid-Pacific
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is a rigorous internationally recognized curriculum available to high school students. At Mid-Pacific, IB courses are available to students in grades 11 and 12 and provide challenges across the curriculum - English, Math, Science, Foreign Language, Social Studies, Technology, and the Arts. This year, Mid-Pacific has 85% of our juniors and seniors taking at least one IB course and 18% of students taking the full Diploma Programme compared to the US average of 6%. In addition, Mid-Pacific students have a 91% average IBDP exam pass rate over the past seven years.
Some of our amazing seniors shared their IB journey and how the program has prepared them for college when they were interviewed last week on Hawaii News Now’s HI Now Daily show. Two of the seniors also showcased their IB Visual Arts exhibitions that were in the Canopy Gallery as part of the Celebration of Learning last week.
