Campus Reopens Wednesday

Honolulu, Hawai‘i — We hope everyone is safe and doing well after the storm. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritized the safety of our community by closing campus today due to Hurricane Lowell passing the islands overnight. We are happy to share that our campus fared very well and sustained no damage. Campus will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9. All classes and on- and off-campus activities will resume as regularly scheduled. For Middle and High School students, it will be a C day schedule.

We are also happy to share that repairs to the parking lot (damaged during Tropical Storm Lala) between the outdoor courts and Scudder dining hall have been completed. We will resume normal traffic flow to lower campus effective tomorrow. Faculty, staff, and students who have assigned parking in the gym lot and student lot may resume parking in these areas.

We will continue the following morning drop-off procedures:

• Middle and High School students may be dropped off as early as 6:15 a.m.
• Students in grades 7–12 should continue to use the left lane on Ka‘ala Street and be dropped off along Kometani Way or behind Kawaiaha‘o. Vehicles should exit through the Armstrong or Parker Lane gates. Please refer to the campus map.
• Preschool, Elementary, and Grade 6 students should continue using the right lane on Ka‘ala Street and their regular drop-off locations. Please refer to the campus map.
• If you have students in both Elementary and Middle or High School, please drop them all off at the lower Elementary autoline next to the rainbow stairs. 
• Please do not drop off students on Maile Way. Students are not permitted to enter campus through this gate. The Maile Way gate is for exiting vehicles only.
• Please keep intersections clear, especially at Maile Way.
• Please do not pull into or park in faculty and staff parking stalls to drop off students. Students should be dropped off along the side of the roadways.
