Last Friday, Mid-Pacific's International Baccalaureate (IB) students participated in a Science project centered on Hawaii's Clean Energy Initiative. Divided into seven energy source groups--Hydrogen, Geothermal, Ocean, Solar, Nuclear, Wind, and Biofuel/Biomass--each team researched then developed a presentation on the most effective uses of their energy source for powering Hawaii into the future.

The IB Science curriculum challenges students to collaborate on scientific and technological topics, allowing for shared concepts and perceptions across disciplines. Students are encouraged to develop critical awareness, as global citizens, of the ethical implications of scientific and technological practices.
