MPSA Theatre Certificate Student Tasha Kanoa '22 Wins National Endowment for the Arts Competition

Mid-Pacific School of the Arts Theatre Certificate student Tasha Kanoa '22 recently won the National Endowment for the Arts Poetry Out Loud competition. As Hawaiʻi state champion, Kanoa will represent Hawaiʻi at the national competition this spring.

Kanoa was coached by Mid-Pacific Theatre teachers Alex Fox and John Wat.

Poetry Out Loud is a national arts education program that encourages the study of great poetry by offering free educational materials and a dynamic recitation competition for high school students across the country.
