"Congratulations to Ian's FTC Team 15168... Go Owls!"

On November 10, 2019, the high school FIRST (FTC) Tech Challenge robotics team competed on the island of Kauai at the Kukui Grove shopping mall.
According to coach Weyland Bailey, student Ian Nakashima '23 competed with dignity, class, and tenacity with his custom-fabricated bright green robot named "Hulk." This robot and operator worked together to complete the competition as the top team with no losses, Bailey said.
This competition is the second in a series of three qualifying events. The first of these was at Le Jardin Academy, where the Mid-Pacific team went undefeated. Currently, the team sports a 10-0 record, ranking the team number one in the state of Hawaii.
