Congratulations to the Boys Intermediate Basketball 1 team that defeated Maryknoll 52-45 on December 22 to capture the ILH championship. The team ended the season with a stunning 10-1 record!
"Winning the ILH is a huge accomplishment for the entire Mid-Pacific Basketball program," said Coach Philip Farmer. "This team has worked hard all season and have earned the right to be called champions. I had the honor of coaching an incredible group of young men and I hope they can continue having much more success in the next chapters of their lives."
"The Athletic Department could not be more excited, happy and proud of the Boys Intermediate 1 Basketball team and Coach Phil," said Scott Wagner, athletic director. "It was a very exciting season for them, as they swept the regular season, going undefeated with a record of 8-0, and earning the number one seed in the tournament. Unfortunately, they did not win the tournament, but had a chance to play Maryknoll (tournament champions) for the overall ILH Championship. The Owls came out strong and managed the lead and the game well, and became the league's best Intermediate team this season. Congrats to the boys, the parents, and of course to Coach Phil!"
