Owls Reunite Over 'Ono Food at King's Hawaiian

What better place to celebrate the Mid-Pacific ‘ohana than at King’s Hawaiian Bakery and Restaurant in Torrance, where the food is always ‘ono and the aloha is overflowing! It was the perfect setting for this alumni gathering, bringing together generations of Owls under one tasty roof.

This special lunch brought together alums spanning more than six decades! The youngest was from the Class of 2019, while the oldest was from the Class of 1955!

It was a memorable gathering filled with genuine connections as the room buzzed with stories, laughter, and nostalgia. 

A huge mahalo to the wonderful team at King’s Hawaiian and Naomi (Nekoba) Taira ’74, whose family ties to the local favorite helped make the gathering extra special. Their ‘ono food and warm hospitality made everyone feel right at home. 

Here’s a pro tip for King’s Hawaiian diners: Be sure to try the Paradise Delight cake. With fresh fruit and a picture-perfect presentation, it’s as delicious as it is beautiful.
