Celebrating Alumni in America's Finest City

We kicked off our series of California alumni gatherings in America’s Finest City! Despite the June Gloom, the mood in San Diego was anything but cloudy. This was our first Mid-Pacific alumni event specifically in San Diego, and we heard from those who attended that they were thankful for something happening in their backyard. Some of them joked they had “no excuse not to go.”

While our group was on the smaller side, the aloha for Mid-Pacific was huge!

Our alumni came from all kinds of professional backgrounds, from PhDs to finance to a social media influencer, and even a former bakery owner. As we reminisced about friends and faculty, and shared stories of our current lives, it was clear there’s a lot of aloha for Mid-Pacific in sunny San Diego.

One unexpected highlight: Alumnus John Ikazaki ’77 just so happened to be in town from Phoenix to visit his son and decided to drop by. It serves as a good reminder to our alumni to check your email - we may be coming to a city near you!
