Owls Flying High in Utah

Our Mountain West adventure kicked off in Salt Lake City, Utah, where we wasted no time reconnecting with Pueo far from home!

While in town, Heidi caught up with two Mid-Pacific alumni, Issey Abe ’23 and Anthony Mills ’18, both from Utah State University. It was great to see familiar faces and hear what they’ve been up to since their Mid-Pacific days.

Anthony, a graduate of Utah State’s Aviation Technology program, is now working as a flight instructor and recently landed an exciting flight contract with a regional airline. Talk about taking off! Issey is currently a student at Utah State, continuing his college journey and also training to be a pilot.

Fun fact: These two go way back to their days in Mid-Pacific’s low brass section. Anthony played trombone, while Issey rocked the French horn!
