Celebrating Pueo Pride in Tokyo

In the fall, Shannon and Heidi traveled to Tokyo to reconnect with Mid-Pacific’s growing alumni community in Japan. On September 20, we hosted a special alumni gathering at Hale‘aina Hoa in Shibuya, and we were thrilled by the overwhelming response. Interest was so strong that the event quickly reached capacity and even had a waitlist!

Alumni representing over six decades came together, spanning from the Class of 1957 to the Class of 2023. "The conversations and connections were rich and joyful, proving that aloha for Mid-Pacific is timeless.

During the visit, Shannon and Heidi also enjoyed dinner with Yoshi Sasakawa ’06 and Tomotaka Ishii, where Heidi bravely tried raw chicken for the first time! It was truly an unforgettable cultural experience!
