"I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being."
~Oscar Wilde
The Mid-Pacific School of the Arts Theatre Program offers students in grades 6 through 12 the opportunity to learn acting, singing, dancing and film production. Students work with artist/educators to hone their craft, create original work and delve deep into the history and theory of theater.
Every year, the Theatre Program presents three diverse high school productions and one middle school musical production. Theatrical genres covered in recent years include musicals, Shakespeare, children's theatre, Greek tragedy, narrative theatre and student created work. Mid-Pacific has represented Hawaii several times at the American High School Theatre Festival at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.
