Music

Mid-Pacific’s dynamic Music Program offers students in grades 7 through 12 the opportunity to study traditional band, orchestra, and vocal music. Our experienced faculty expose them to a wide variety of music which is tailored to each level of orchestra. Students will experience music from many different time periods found in Western Music History as well as more popular genres. Music students also do a lot of collaboration between other music classes and arts. Provided they want to pursue music to a higher level, classes in music history and theory are also available starting in Grade 10.

Our music program performs several major concerts a year and contributes in many other ways to the life of Mid-Pacific and the community.

“Joining band class was one of the best things that happened in my high school life and I enjoyed learning music with teachers and all my classmates. Music has always been an important part of my life, especially in connection with people. I’ve made so many friends and gotten along well with teachers through music.”

“I really appreciate the time I spent in the band. I think one of the best parts of music is to create bonds with people. I am appreciative of everyone who supported me and am happy to continue playing the trumpet with the band at UH Mānoa.”
