Dance
The Dance Program offers a range of classes, spanning from creative movement in our middle school Performing Visual Arts (PVA) exploratory courses, to the Certificate Dance Program beginning in grade 7. Certificate Dance students study ballet and contemporary dance within the school day and receive supplementary training during dance concert rehearsals scheduled after school. Additionally, Mid-Pacific hosts guest choreographers and teaching artists from the global dance community to teach master classes and create works with our students.
Preparing our students for college and career readiness is an important component of the Dance Program. Mid-Pacific alumni continue to study dance at conservatories, colleges, and universities, and or pursue careers in performance, choreography, and teaching. We are proud of all of our Mid-Pacific students and are inspired by the various ways in which they have used dance as a vehicle of self-discovery as they emerge as positive contributors to our local, national, and global communities.
