College Counseling
As a college preparatory school, Mid-Pacific supports students in preparing for college, the college search process, and the application process. Mid-Pacific’s College Counseling Advisory Program is a four-year program that begins at grade 9.
The College Counseling Department coordinates approximately 150-200 college visits to Mid-Pacific. The visits are conducted by college admission officers for grades 11 and 12. The College Counseling Department also offers college tours to California and the Pacific Northwest in late May, as well as periodic tours to the East Coast and other select states.
In addition to class meetings and individual meetings, students and parents are also invited to attend the following:
- Lunch with College Counseling Series: Short sessions focusing on college admission-related topics designed for both students and their parents. Guest speakers are from the community or college admission officers.
- Workshops: Topics include test preparation, application support, athletic recruiting process, and essay writing.

Student Spotlight
COLE KODAMA ’23
“Mid-Pacific has provided me with a great education, opportunities for extra curricular activities, a positive environment for growth and lifelong friendships, and a deep sense of pride in my school. By being involved in campus organizations and activities, I believe it is a small way for me to give back to the school in hopes that I can make a difference.”
KAIYA LEONG ’24
“At Mid-Pacific, students are able to learn in an environment that prompts critical and creative thinking rather than memorization. The school also nurtures the arts and dance, which allowed me to express myself in different ways. This environment empowered me to create change and seek new ways for our generation to make an impact on the world.”
