We’ve officially landed in the fourth week of the New Year, and it’s time to reboot for the new semester! In this blog, I’ll be sharing tips for a strong start—all explained using Fortnite terminology. Get ready to drop in, gear up, and squad up for a semester full of new challenges and victories! Just another way to engage with your “kiddos.”

Hey, squad! Ready to queue up for a new school year? Grab your gear—it’s time to build, squad up, and make this semester a Victory Royale for your family!

Loadout Checklist:

  • 1 Shield Potion of Reflection
  • 2 Stacks of New Routines
  • A Handful of Kindness Bandages
  • A Sprinkle of Support Minis
  • A Dash of Celebration Emotes
  • Infinite Squad Teamwork

Game Plan:

1. Bus Drop—Reflect to Land Right

Huddle up on the Battle Bus (dinner table works too). Ask each teammate:

  • What was your “Victory Royale” moment last semester?
  • What new loot do you want in your loadout this year?
    Share your answers and glide into the new season with fresh energy.

2. Build New Routines

  • Establish a nightly “charging station”—for both devices and squad comms.
  • Schedule a weekly “family check-in”—like a strategy meeting before the storm moves in.
  • Make sure everyone gets “rest time” in the safe zone—no one wants to get stormed out!

3. Drop Kindness

Every week, revive your squad with a random act of kindness:

Drop a compliment, send a thank-you, or help someone reboot. Kindness = bonus shields for all!

4. Squad Up for Support

Remind your player: backup is always a win.
Encourage reaching out—teachers, friends, or me (your friendly squad leader) are always ready to revive and support.

5. Emote for Every Win

Big or small, every achievement deserves an emote!
Homework turned in? Hit the dance. Helped a classmate? Bust out the celebration emote. Tried something new? Floss it out!

Victory Royale Tip:

Play this strategy daily for squad wins, positive vibes, and unstoppable support.
