Ho‘okipa
The Hawaiian word Ho‘okipa means Welcome. Ho‘okipa is appropriate in welcoming our past and new students and families to our 2024-25 school year.
I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. I am looking forward to another year filled with great memories.
For the new families, my name is Maria Corpuz-George, and I am thrilled to be the school counselor at Mid Pacific Elementary. My role is to support your children in their social and emotional development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a school counselor, I work closely with students to help them navigate any challenges they may face. My goal is to ensure that each child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Services Offered:
I offer a variety of services to support our students, including:
- Individual Sessions: One-on-one meetings to address specific concerns or challenges your child might be facing.
- Group Sessions: Small group meetings that focus on common issues such as making friends, managing emotions, or improving study skills.
- Lunch Bunch: Informal lunchtime gatherings where students can socialize, build friendships, and learn social skills in a relaxed environment.
Benefits:
Participating in these sessions can help students develop essential skills, build confidence, and improve their overall well-being. Our goal is to create a supportive community where every child can thrive.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss how these services might benefit your child, please feel free to reach out to me at mcorpuzgeorge@midpac.edu or call (808) 441-3839.
