Podlewski Appointed as MPI Girls Volleyball Head Coach

The MPI Athletic Program is pleased to announce the appointment of Vernon Podlewski as the new Girls Volleyball Head Coach. "We had a number of strong applicants" said Athletic Director Jo Ito. "Vernon was our top choice and we are happy that he accepted the job." Podlewski, an alternate for the 2004 US Olympic team, brings a lot of experience to the MPI girls volleyball program, both as a player and coach. He recently moved back to Hawaii after coaching at the University of Colorado. After playing for UH and graduating in 2002, he played professionally overseas in Germany and Romania. "We look forward to working with Vernon and are confident that he will have great impact on our girls volleyball program" Ito said.
