September 28, 2007Mid-Pacific Coach Kainoa Obrey will be conducting a fundamentals volleyball training for students ages 14 and under on October 3,4,10,11,17,18, 24, and 25. Sessions will be held at Hongwanji Mission School gym from 5:30pm - 7:30pm and the cost is $100. The training is open to the public and space is limited. If interested, please contact Coach Kainoa via e-mail at kobrey@kuikahivolleyball.com
MPI girls on the intermediate volleyball team are unable to participate due to ILH outside participation rules.

Boys and girls in grades 7-12 interested in participating in wrestling are invited to the conditioning workouts at University High School near the Cafeteria. Please meet the coaches on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 5:30pm starting on Tuesday, October 9th. Any questions - call Coach Aaron Sekulich at 721-7687.

September 26, 2007This seminar will cover the core-course requirements for high school students planning to play in any Division I or II college or university. This seminar is of value to students and their parents in grades 9-12 with the potential to play sports in college.
Daniel Arakaki, Director of Student Affairs of the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Hawaii at Manoa will be the presenter of this important material.
Monday, October 8 from 6:30pm - 8pm at the Honolulu Community College Building 2, Room 201.

Dr. Elizabeth Ignacio will be the featured speaker at a seminar for the female athlete and their parents. Learn the steps to reducing non-contact ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injuries. Females are 2-8 times more susceptible to these types of injuries than their male counterparts. Learn why and what you can do to help prevent ACL injuries.
Thursday, October 18 at 7pm at Iolani School Campus - Seto Hall. Park in the campus parking structure.

September 15, 2007Congratulations to Girls Varsity Volleyball team members for their victories over Maryknoll and Christian Academy this past week.
The girls junior varsity volleyball team defeated Iolani Black in a hard fought match at Iolani. Congratulations tto all the team members.
ILH Bowling started this week and Senior Kellie Ann Inouye bowled an amazing 256 score (perfect game is 300) to lead MPI to a 3-0 games victory over Academy of the Pacific. Congratulations to all team members!
Scott Motobu placed 2nd overall in the boys ILH varsity cross country meet at Central Oahu Regional Park.
Boys JV tennis team defeated Maryknoll 3-2 for their first victory of the season. They followed that up with a 4-1 victory over Kamehameha.
The boys air riflery varsity and junior varsity teams defeated Waldorf. The girls varsity also posted a victory over Waldorf. Leading scorers were Jordan Muratsuchi 257, Kevin Chong 250 in boys competition and Ashley To 271 and Alix Tsuruda 236 in the girls competition.
Michael Swanson scored 4 goals to lead the PAC-5 Boys Water Polo Varsity II over Kamehameha. Congratulations to all team members.
Congratulations to the intermediate football team members (Word of Life - combination school team) for an outstanding team effort in defeating Punahou 51-22.
