Congratulations to the Mid-Pacific Boys Sporter Air Riflery team for its recent ILH championship.

"I couldn't be more proud of our boys," said Coach Jon Narimatsu. "They did a remarkable job this year, fighting their way to the first sporter title since 2013. The boys will now represent the ILH in the HHSAA state tournament where I know they will do a fantastic job. Go Owls!"

"We are very proud and excited for our Boys Sporter Air Riflery team," said Mid-Pacific Athletic Director Scott Wagner. "The school has had some very dominating teams the last few years, including two state championships, and I think we surprised a lot of other schools this year by dominating once again."

According to Wagner, Michael Tam '20 was absolutely amazing throughout the year, and finished the regular season on top of the standings as the number one shooter in the league, averaging 267 points per match (out of 300). Ian Oshiro '18 also competed at a very high level, finishing third at the end of the regular season with an average of 261.8.

"We are thrilled at the amazing season they had, and are proud of their ILH Championship," Wagner said. "We are very much looking forward to cheering for these boys at states!"

Sporter Air Riflery, also known as three-position riflery, is comprised of standing, kneeling and prone stances.
