The Mid-Pacific community came out to support the Boys Varsity Basketball team as they took on Kamehameha at this year's homecoming game on Friday, January 27, 2017 in Mills Gym. Despite our loss at the very close game (50-46) our Owls played with a lot of heart and with tons of support from fans that wore green and white with pride! Thank you to everyone who came out to support the team. Prior to the game, the MPIAA set up a table just outside the gym where volunteers gave away FREE special gray "Owls for Owls" alumni T-shirts to all Mid-Pacific alumni. During the game, the MPIAA also generously gave away white "Owls for Owls" T-shirts to fans in the stands with the help of our Owl mascot. Alumnus Eric Koike '93 assisted our mascot in building excitement with our fans as they sent shirts soaring into the crowd with a T-shirt launcher. The gym was packed with energy and undying spirit for Mid-Pacific. Even the elementary students made it to the game where they sat in their special student section, screaming cheers in support of the boys. Let's keep that spirit going! We hope to see you at future Mid-Pacific sporting events.
