Students in Ms. Davis' MPX10 Humanities class brought WWII history to the present by comparing Japanese internment of WWII to a modern case of racial profiling.
Students learned how to relate history to the present through analysis of primary and secondary sources. In May of 2015 students researched at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii through the incredible outreach of JCCH coordinator Lloyd Nakamura and his team of volunteers.
Through this interaction MPX10 students were contacted by NHK, the PBS of Japan, about their research and work.
