Aloha Mid-Pacific Community,

Welcome back to another exciting year at Mid-Pacific.  I hope your summer was enjoyable and you are all energized for the new school year.

External Affairs was busy this summer searching for a new Extended Learning Coordinator for our Extended Learning program.  With a growing number of XLP course offerings in various areas, finding the best person to lead the Extended Learning program was a top priority for us this summer.

It is a pleasure to introduce Dr. Puakailima Davis as our new Extended Learning Coordinator.  Dr. Davis joins us with experience from Kamehameha Schools extended learning program and other community outreach programs.  She has extensive experience in theatre and film, producing and directing various projects and working with various age groups.  She also has experience in designing curriculum and assessment.  Dr. Davis received her Doctorate from the University of Hawaii, Manoa specializing in Curriculum and Instruction.

My office will work quickly to bring Dr. Davis up to speed on our extensive Extended Learning program to ensure the fall semester opens as smoothly as possible.  If you have signed up for Extended Learning classes for the fall semester you will receive a reminder notification from Extended Learning shortly, as some classes begin next week.

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Puakailima Davis to the Mid-Pacific community as our new Extended Learning Coordinator.

Sincerely,

Scott Siegfried

Vice President of External Affairs &
