We are very excited to have 22 new international students join Mid-Pacific from Japan, South Korea, Mainland China, Italy, Russia, and Vietnam this 2017-18 school year. They arrived on campus the week before school started for orientation and attended information sessions on various topics including safety in Hawaii, athletics, and myPueo training. The new families were welcomed by current international families and guided around campus by student volunteer interpreters.

Excitement was in the air as the new international students started their new school life in Hawaii. They shared what they like best about school and Mid-Pacific. "I like school because you can make more friends and learn about the outside world." "We can learn many things at school, it is a place that helps you to be a better person in society." "I like Mid-Pacific because everyone is kind and looks happy." "I like Mid-Pacific because there are many athletic sport teams and it's a good environment for studying."
