September 8, 2016 10:26 AM

12:37 PM The UH Manoa suspect has been detained by the Honolulu Police Department and there is no threat to the campus. For more information, visit http://manoa.hawaii.edu/dps.

10:26 AM We are closely monitoring the situation at UH Manoa where there has been a report of an armed male heading to their campus driving a black, older 4-door Mercedez-Benz license plate JYS072. UH Manoa is operating as normal at this time.

The safety of our students, faculty and staff is of the highest importance and the Mid-Pacific Security Team is in close communication with UH Manoa Campus Security. All Mid-Pacific security measures are in place should there be a need to take action.

We will communicate through the E2 emergency system (text, phone, email) and post messages on myPueo and social media with more information if necessary.
