This year, Mid-Pacific Institute welcomed 26 new international families, 4 elementary school students, 6 middle school students, and 16 high school students from Japan, Mainland China, South Korea, and Taiwan.
Orientation for new international middle and high school families took place on August 4th with an overview of the school and introductions from key staff members to help them prepare for the new school year.
After the orientation, President Paul Turnbull and his wife Leslie cordially invited everyone to the Atherton House where new international families had the chance to meet current international families and staff. Students enjoyed a game version of speed dating, getting to know each person in one minute, while parents were able to share their experiences and ask questions to each other in their native languages.
