Campus Construction Projects

Aloha Mid-Pacific Community,

This spring and summer there are a number of construction projects scheduled on our Mid-Pacific campus. All of these projects will provide an enhanced campus infrastructure to support our programs.

Beginning next week, Monday, February 9, preliminary work on campus will begin for our Fire Safety and Communications system upgrades.

The Fire Safety and Communications upgrade project will require digging and trenching work, approximately from the Chew Technology Center to the main gate and then along Kawaiaha'o road. We expect minimal disruptions during peak traffic hours for the immediate future.

However, over the Mid-Pacific Spring Break, March 21 through April 6, more significant digging and trench work will be done, limiting and at times closing certain portions of the roadway during this period of time.

Also over Spring Break, the Middle School Innovation Center project will begin transforming Gulick Hall into an agile learning space, with higher ceilings, expansive windows, movable partitions and access to useful outdoor spaces increasing opportunities for inquiry and project-based learning, interdisciplinary learning, and team teaching. Classes held in Gulick Hall will be relocated; parking in the spaces adjacent to Gulick will be moved (More information to follow on these relocations)
