Aloha Parents and Guardians!
On Wednesday, 10/22 the 7th grade class will begin a yearlong project "Make an Impact". Through a series of activities throughout the year the students will be trying to answer the question, how can I make a positive impact? On 10/22 we will travel to the State Capitol. While there we will take a tour of the capitol including the governor's office and hear from different speakers including State Senator Tokuda. The speakers will talk to the students about how the legislators and state offices like the Department of Land and Natural Resources work together to help preserve our state. Following the visit to the capitol we will go to the Tenney Theater to see the HTY play Ku A Mo'o: Becoming a Guardian of Hawaii.
We are asking all students to bring a home lunch that day and to wear their blue field day shirts. We will leave lunches and other bags on campus locked in B-5. Students will not be allowed to bring anything with them on the fieldtrip. We will eat lunch once we return to campus.
Please fill out the attached permission form, sign and have your child return it to their homeroom teacher by 10/16/14.
