BEWARE OF SAT/ACT/PSAT SCAMMERS

Vendors who are not affiliated with Kaplan are targeting high schools counselors and parents of high school students and attempting to sell Kaplan’s retail software ---specifically SAT/ACT/PSAT CD-Roms---either bundled with non-Kaplan products or at a significant markup in price.

These callers are using Kaplan’s well-established reputation to push the sale of the CD-Rom. Their methods and billing practices are often aggressive and fraudulent

As a reminder, Kaplan does not sell its retail products through individual sales calls but through authorized distributors, vendors and our online bookstores at www.kaptest.com.

We ask that if you receive calls of this type from someone claiming to be affiliated with Kaplan, please be cautious and inquire what company they are calling from before deciding to purchase anything. If you think you may have been misled or victimized by such a company, you should report the matter to your credit card company and either your local Better Business Bureau or Attorney General’s office, as appropriate. Though Kaplan cannot be responsible for the conduct of these companies, we would appreciate hearing from you regarding your experiences so that we can better prepare others.
