The Ramp

This week we brought together what we have learned about programming and gears to build and program a car that can climb a ramp.  This week's tasks involved a ramp with 9 different incline levels.  Our building teams were responsible for building and programming a car to: 1. go up the ramp and stop. 2. go up the ramp, reverse back down, and stop. 3. go up the ramp, turn around, go back down the ramp in forward, and stop.  All of these tasks needed to be accomplished at different incline levels, which has meant adjustments to the programming (time and strength of motors) and adjustments to the design of their car.

We continue to talk about the idea that working with robotics is a series of trials and adjustments.  With this in mind, the builders were responsible for recording observations of each trial up the ramp and any adjustments that they made before the next trial.

Just a reminder that there is no class on Monday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day.  I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!
