Aloha, Noio 2 families!
I hope you are all staying dry during this soggy weekend! As we get closer to the end of the school year, each week is full of fun events and activities. This past week we got to learn a hula from Ellie's Grandmother, shared poems with our kinders and the high school, and enjoyed Kite Day with our middle school friends. The business continues this following week with the much anticipated May Day program and Box Top Pizza party! Here are a few photos from the week.
The students got to share the fun of Poem-in-Your-Pocket Day with all ages!
Milo reads aloud one of his favorite poems.
We are finishing up our fraction work in math. This week we got to stretch our legs and find real life fractions. Some chose flowers to share with friends, while other fractions were using the monkey bars and tire swing to divide evenly among a group of people. Each student created an original fraction and their own strategies to solve for it.
Kites were flying in all directions on Friday! A fun MPI tradition that brings our preschool, elementary, and middle school students together.
Our class is slowly but surely turning into an ecosystem! Here are our "Ocean" group students working hard to create the right environment for their birds.
Further May Day instructions will be emailed out in regards to extra hands helping the kids get ready. Keep an eye out for this in your inbox from our classroom moms!
A message for the boys in our class: Please bring your May Day shorts tomorrow, Monday, in a gallon size Ziplock bag with your name on it.
Our Pizza Party will be held on Tuesday, May 2
Happy first week of May!
