Wow! What a week it has been! Spirit Week and our learning trip to the wetlands at the James Campebell National Wildlife Refuge. Below are photos that capture our week.
Monday was Pajama Day. What a comfy way to come to school!
Tuesday was our learning trip. We had an amazing adventure. We saw more birds than I had never seen before. The highlight was seeing dozens of kioea or bristle-thighed curlew and several mōli or Laysan albatross drifiting on the wind, including one that swooped down for a quick drink of fresh water. We were so excited to see all of these amazing birds!
Wednesday the children pulled out their wildest and craziest socks. Some were even hand decorated.
Thursday we donned our finest green and white.
The week culminated with a visit from the Chinese lions on Friday.
Friday evening, many of us headed to Mills Gym to cheer on our boys varsity basketball team for an exciting homecoming game. The young owls were the loudest and most spirited group in the crowd! It was a joy to watch them. Go OWLS!
