Scholarships - General News
These scholarship updates are not all-inclusive, but rather to notify students of scholarships within the community. We encourage students to search the websites of the colleges they are applying to for scholarships offered through the schools, as well as utilizing scholarship searches such as FastWeb or Unigo.
Scholarships - Seniors
HAWAII ROTARY YOUTH FOUNDATION. Deadline is February 7, 2018. All materials must be received by this date so start working on it now and ask for your transcript and recommendations now! Eligible students must be US citizens or legal residents of Hawaii, high school seniors, who have a strong academic record, and are actively involved in their school and community through service and leadership. TWO recommendations are required; one from a teacher OR faculty member, and one from a member of the community who has known the student for at least 2 years. You must ask ONE Rotary Club to sponsor you by calling one of the listed clubs on the application and simply requesting that they sponsor you. Scholarships - Senior Athletes
The HMSA Kaimana Awards applications are due February 9, 2018. This scholarship is for STUDENT ATHLETES who have competed in at least one high school sanctioned sport for at least one year in high school and who are active in serving their school and community. Summer Program - Juniors
The University of Southern California Bovard Scholars is a summer program (July 15 - August 5, 2018) which aims to help high-achieving high school rising seniors (current juniors) with financial need gain admission to and succeed at the nation's top universities. This program includes an intensive, three-week residential experience on the USC campus, where students can engage with guest speakers, industry experts, career specialists and recent college graduates to define their personal pathway to college and beyond. We encourage you to attend the visits. They are an excellent opportunity to learn more about what colleges have to offer. New college visits are added daily. You can find the most updated list of college visits on Naviance (Family Connection) connection.naviance.com/midpac (under "Colleges" tab and click on "view all upcoming college visits"). If you will be missing a class, you must first ask your teacher for permission AND sign up at least two days in advance on Naviance. You will be responsible for any work missed. Please check the Daily Bulletin and Family Connection for updates and new additions. All juniors and seniors are welcome to attend.
