The MPSA High School Vocal Ensemble is presenting their Spring Concert on May 11, 12, and 13. Thursday's performance is at 4:00 pm for Students, Faculty and Staff, and the Friday/Saturday performances are at 5:30pm with tickets available for Friends and Family. There are 150 seats available for each performance and we hope to fill them with music lovers. This year's concert features the Middle School Vocal Ensemble and songs from Broadway Musicals such as Les Miserable, Grease, and Chorus Line to name a few. If you are interested in attending on Friday or Saturday, please see one of the Vocal Ensemble students for a complimentary ticket (no ticket necessary for Thursday but will be on a first-come-first -serve entrance basis). We would love to see you all there!
7th Grade Students:
You will be voting for your Executive council members TODAY, Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. at the beginning of period 7. Please read the campaign speeches carefully and vote for 6 students who you feel will do the best job. The first 3 students with the most votes will be elected and the other 3 will be elected by votes and teacher recommendations.
Color Me Happy Club meeting Monday, May 15 during lunch. Bring your lunch and iPad to Wood Hall and meet in the DaVinci Studio. This will be our last club meeting for the year.
Honolulu Community College Summer STEM 2017 Program - ICT Academy Python Summer Camp (June 13 - July 21) gives students an in-depth introduction to programming using Python. Honolulu Community College Summer STEM 2017 Program - The GenCyber Hawaii Program (June 5-9) is FREE for students and teachers K-12. The goals of the program are to help all students understand correct and safe on-line behavior, increase diversity and interest in cybersecurity and careers in the cybersecurity workforce of the Nation, and improve teaching methods for delivering cybersecurity content in K-12 computer science curricula. University of Hawaii at Mānoa Family Education Training Center of Hawaii (FETCH), is a University of Hawaii-based affiliated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering a Summer Advantage Program (June 20-July 13) for middle and high school students. Students will learn about organic farming, cooking with fresh produce, and garden-based carpentry at the Energy House on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. Fee: $80 per student, 16 sessions.
