We will be offering a Khan Academy Test Prep for Juniors planning on taking the June SAT exam. Khan Academy provides free test prep based on student's PSAT and SAT results. Students work independently on Khan Academy's online program. Our program is designed for students who need the extra push in a proctored session. We also will provide 3 Math and 3 English review sessions. There will be 12 sessions with a cost of $50. Session dates: 4/11, 4/12, 4/18, 4/20, 4/25, 4/27, 5/2, 5/4, 5/9, 5/11, 5/16, 5/18. The sessions will run from 3:15pm-4:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 2:45pm-3:45pm on April 12. The location of the sessions will be posted on the College Counseling page and Daily Bulletin later this week. To Register: Click on the following link to submit your application. Bring a printed copy of your completed application (signed by parent & student) and payment to the School Store before April 10.

The National College Fair is a great opportunity for our students and parents to meet with representatives from over 150 universities. Students should register in advance, print up their barcode and bring it with them to the college fair. We encourage all families in Grades 9-11 to attend. The fair will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at the Hawaii Convention Center.

A panel of experts will share an insider's look at how athletics may affect college admission, athletic recruiting, national letter of intent, and the eligibility process. Panelists include:

  • Maureen Shagonaby, Admissions/Athletic Liaison, Michigan State
  • Deven Bukoski, Compliance Officer, Chaminade University
  • Coach Jason Abe, Chaminade University
  • Scott Wagner, Athletic Director, Mid-Pacific Institute

Please join us for an evening presentation on college athletics: Wednesday, April 12, 5-6pm, Mid-Pacific, Wood Hall.

College Visits

We encourage you to attend the visits. They are an excellent opportunity to learn more about what colleges have to offer. New college visits are added daily. You can find the most updated list of college visits on Naviance (Family Connection) (under "Colleges" tab and click on "view all upcoming college visits"). If you will be missing a class, you must first ask your teacher for permission AND sign up at least two days in advance on Naviance. You will be responsible for any work missed. Please check the Daily Bulletin and Family Connection for updates and new additions. All juniors and seniors are welcome to attend. If you have any questions, please stop by the College Counseling Office.
