Peer Tutors Needed!
Peer tutoring is a great opportunity for students to contribute to our school community by helping their fellow classmates. Tutors help by sharing their understanding of a specific subject/course with their peers in a positive and encouraging environment. There are many benefits to being a peer tutor, including making a difference in someone's life and being able to share about this experience on your college application! Peer Tutor Qualifications:
If you're interested in being a peer tutor, please visit your class page and click on the peer tutor link to sign-up!
Mandatory NY/DC Meeting TODAY, Wednesday, February 15 at 5:00 pm in the Bakken Auditorium. Students who are coming on this trip are REQUIRED to attend with at least 1 parent.
Art Club Meeting in room P1 on Tuesday, February 21 during lunch (bring home lunch). We will be creating a Ho'olaule'a signage.
Please review the following scholarships and apply to those that are a good match for you. I recommend you act on applying right away: start your application, request transcripts and recommendations so that you can meet your deadline without asking for these items at the last minute. If you wait until the last minute, you run the risk that the person you are requesting the recommendation or transcript from will not be available, and then lose the opportunity to apply.
Aloha, Mrs. McKay-Hines, College Counselor/Scholarship Coordinator
We encourage you to attend the visits. They are an excellent opportunity to learn more about what colleges have to offer. New college visits are added daily. You can find the most updated list of college visits on Naviance (Family Connection) connection.naviance.com/midpac (under "Colleges" tab and click on "view all upcoming college visits"). If you will be missing a class, you must first ask your teacher for permission AND sign up at least two days in advance on Naviance. You will be responsible for any work missed. Please check the Daily Bulletin and Family Connection for updates and new additions. All juniors and seniors are welcome to attend. If you have any questions, please stop by the College Counseling Office.
