SPRING BREAK DRIVER EDUCATION CLASS:
March 13 to 17 from 8:00am to 2:30pm, $260. This class fulfills the 30-hour classroom instruction required by the State of Hawaii for anyone under 18 years of age prior to obtaining their driver's license.

Tryouts are TODAY, Monday, February 6 from 3:45pm to 5:45pm. Come dressed to play and bring your racquet. If you do not have an updated Student Health Record on file, please have your parent attend this practice to sign a temporary health form so you can participate.

Students in Grades 9 through 12 who are trying out for the Sailing Team:
Tryouts are on Tuesday, February 7th and 14th. The bus leaves at 3:30pm and will return at the end of practice, arriving at school around 6:50pm. Or students can be picked up at Waikiki Yacht Club prior to 6:30pm. Students will not be left at the Yacht Club unattended, so anyone not picked up by 6:30pm will return to school on the bus. All sailors MUST bring with them a signed parent release form. The coach will email the form to all who signed up, and there are extra copies in the Athletic Office. Thank you!

HMSA Kaimana Awards - Due February 10, 2017. Applicants must have a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA, participate in at least one high school sport, be involved in community service, leadership. Applications available at: hmsa.com/Kaimana.
HAHPERD Scholarship - Deadline is February 15, 2017. For those seniors interested in majoring in a career in teaching health, physical education, dance or recreation leadership. Must have attended high school in Hawaii for at least two years, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and provide evidence of teaching potential in the areas of health, physical education, recreation, and/or dance. HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union - Deadline is February 15, 2017. Applications are available at hawaiiusafcu.com/scholarsip-app. Applicants must be seniors who are current members of the HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union and have been members for at least 12 consecutive months. Pauahi Foundation Scholarships - Deadline is February 17, 2017. Preference is given to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry. For more information go to: pauahi.org/scholarships/.
Lumana'i Awards - Due March 1, 2017. Applicants must be of Samoan ancestry. Applications available in the College Center. Applicants must choose one of 16 categories to apply in, from academic subject areas (Math, English, Science, Social Studies, World Language etc...) to Athletics, Performing Arts, and more.
National Catholic Colleges Admissions Association Scholarship - Deadline is March 1, 2017. Applicants must be seniors of good character, good academic standing, who plan to attend a member Catholic college in Fall of 2017. Executive Women International - Due 3/15/2017. Applications are to be turned in to the College Center ONLY, by 3/6/2017. Mid-Pacific may nominate only ONE student. Ukulele Festival Scholarship - Deadline: April 30, 2017. Applicants must be seniors who have a passion for the ukulele, good character, and community service. For more information, go to: ukulelefestivalhawaii.org.
We encourage you to attend the visits. They are an excellent opportunity to learn more about what colleges have to offer. New college visits are added daily. You can find the most updated list of college visits on Naviance (Family Connection) connection.naviance.com/midpac (under "Colleges" tab and click on "view all upcoming college visits"). If you will be missing a class, you must first ask your teacher for permission AND sign up at least two days in advance on Naviance. You will be responsible for any work missed.
