General

The MPSA High School musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, has opened and will run through November 6. Show times are as follows:

  • Thursdays at 4:00pm - Free admission and refreshments for Mid-Pacific students and employees
  • Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm
  • Sundays at 2:00pm

Performances on Friday-Sunday cost $3.00 for all Mid-Pacific students. See posters for further information. This show is hilarious so come and laugh with us!


High School

This week is AUW Week. The SGA will be selling milk tea during lunch today. Stop by and purchase an AUW Week treat. Tomorrow is the class money jar competition. Click here to see more details.

Please come out and support the Baking and Cooking Club Bake Sale TODAY, Wednesday (10/26/16) during both lunches in front of Scudder. Items will sell for a dollar. All proceeds will be donated to Aloha United Way. Thank you for your support.

There will be a RAKSTARZ Meeting on Thursday, October 27th during tutorial time in A103. Please be prompt. If you have non perishable items, we will assemble them at that time for the AUW auction. Otherwise, please drop them off to Mr. Wheeler's office on Friday morning. Please attach a little note explaining the contents of the gift bag or basket being auctioned off. Thank you.

Globetrotters: The Halloween Get-Together is on Friday, October 28 from 3:00 p.m. in the Watase Courtyard. Bring your snack and your Halloween costume. See you there!

Hawaii Future Dentists Symposium and Scholarship: All current high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who are interested in a career as a dentist and who attend the Hawaii Future Dentist Symposium are eligible for this scholarship. The Symposium will be held on February 25, 2017 at 7:45 am at the Pauahi Tower, Suite 340, 1003 Bishop Street. The symposium will feature a discussion by several of Hawaii's foremost dental specialists who will discuss the joys and challenges of their particular dental specialty. Attendees must register for this event. Registration opens on January 1st and closes on February 22nd. Attendees who submit a 200 word essay on why they want to be a dentist from January 1 through February 22 and who attend the event will be eligible to win one of three scholarships ranging form $200 to $500. Halloween Costumes will be allowed on Monday, October 31 for high school students. Students who are not wearing an obvious costume must be in normal dress code. Please see the Halloween Costume Guidelines for more details.


Middle School

Continue to support AUW this week and stop by the Middle School Bake Sale at Hala Terrace while enoying your favorite songs from the Pay to Play sale. On Thursday, be at the cafe for "The Voice: Feature the Teacher Edition". With a small entry fee, you can enter the competition to guess which teacher's velvety smooth voice is behind each famous Disney tune. You don't want to miss it!

College Counseling

Hawaii Pacific University will be hosting a Preview Day on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Aloha Tower Marketplace. 8:00am check-in, 9:00am Information sessions and tours of Aloha Tower Marketplace and Waterfront Lofts; 12:00pm Optional guided tours of the Hawaii Loa campus. Learn more about HPU's academic programs, athletic programs, career services center, financial aid, honors program, housing, music programs, student life, first-year programs and study abroad program. College Visits

We encourage you to attend the visits. They are an excellent opportunity to learn more about what colleges have to offer. New college visits are added daily. You can find the most updated list of college visits on Naviance (Family Connection) connection.naviance.com/midpac (under "Colleges" tab and click on "view all upcoming college visits"). If you will be missing a class, you must first ask your teacher for permission AND sign up at least two days in advance on Naviance. You will be responsible for any work missed. Please check the Daily Bulletin and Family Connection for updates and new additions. All juniors and seniors are welcome to attend. If you have any questions, please stop by the College Counseling Office.
