PSAT - Important Information for ALL Sophomores and Juniors
PRE-ADMINSTRATION (pre-bubble) will be on Friday, October 14 during homeroom. Students will be filling out their personal information (legal name, home/host family address, phone number, email - student's or parent's email). Students will need to fill in their information correctly. Your homeroom teacher will have a sample copy for you to refer to. Please bring: TWO #2 pencils (NO MECHANICAL PENCILS). Boys Canoe Paddling
Student-athletes in grades 9-12, who are interested in participating in the upcoming boys canoe paddling season should come to a sign-up meeting on Friday, October 14 at 3:15 pm in the Weinberg Seminar Room. We will go over the schedule, coaching expectations, and answer any questions you have about the upcoming season. Girls Intermediate Tennis
The 2016 girls intermediate tennis team is looking for a few more student-athletes (gr. 7-8) to participate with their tennis team starting on Monday, October 24, 2016. Hawai`i National College Fair will be on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 5:00pm at the Hawai`i Convention Center. Over 175 colleges from across the country and overseas will participate in the college fair. All high school students and their parents are encouraged to attend. Students should register in advance by going to https://www.gotomyncf.com/Registration/EventSelectForState?stateName=hawaii and print up the barcode. As you visit the college representatives, they will scan your barcode.
Honolulu Art Portfolio Day on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 10:00am at Wood Hall. Representatives from California College of Art, Laguna College of Art and Design, Otis College of Art and Design, Parsons - The New School for Design and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago will be on hand to review portfolios. Students should present their portfolios in a digital format on their iPads or laptops. Preference will be given to seniors applying in the fall. Sophomores and juniors are welcome to attend to learn more about the portfolio review process.
University of California Information Session and College Fair on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 1:30pm in Bakken Auditorium. Representatives from Davis, Los Angeles, Riverside, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz will give a presentation on their campuses as well as how to best prepare the UC application, the holistic review process and tips for completing the new Personal Insight Questions. The program will follow with a college fair in the Bakken foyer.
