Imagine being given the opportunity to design an instructional space that is focused solely on the needs of students. This building would have open and fluid spaces that allow them to take advantage of learning opportunities in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Traditional desks and chairs have now given way to modular furniture that provide unlimited opportunities for creativity and collaborative exchanges, rather than traditional rows that hinder necessary interactions.
Classrooms, while designed to accommodate students within various subject areas, now enable them to engage in cross-curricular discussions, making their learning more stimulating and relevant.
After one year of extensive planning and thoughtful preparation by a cohesive and talented team, this imagination became a joyous reality filled with Na Pueo pride. On Wednesday, August 26, 2015, Wood Hall opened its doors to 125 students and seven teachers. This new building is equipped with flexible spaces and amenities designed to meet the needs of our 21st-Century Learners and provide unlimited opportunities to engage in collaborative learning and meaningful exchanges. Our teachers have carefully designed instruction that challenges our students to be innovative thinkers, problem solvers, thought leaders, and prepared for the future with confidence.
