Kaimi Haas was one of our captains and was truly a leader on and off the court. He is humble and is an incredible team player. When he was recognized for his individual effort, he immediately addressed the team to say it was a team effort. Kaimi had the highest passing percentage, and had the most hitting attempts on our team. He is someone our team relied on heavily and proved that he was a cornerstone for all of our success.
CJ Pascual-Tabuyo capped off an undefeated Judo season by winning her first high school state championship this spring. She had a very difficult bracket, needing to defeat 2 other players who were state champions in previous years. Earlier this year she also competed in the National Championships in Reno, NV and took home the gold medal. She has earned a spot on the Cadet World Team and will compete in the Pan-American Games as well as the World Championships in Chile this August. Good luck CJ!
Lee Matsuzaki was nothing short of spectacular for the Intermediate Baseball team this year. He was one of the most consistent and reliable hitters this season. He finished the regular season leading the team in batting average (.538), runs scored (15), hits (14), stolen bases (3), and was third on the team in RBI's (9). He also played great defense in left field, committing no errors.
Kaya Goodwin is an ODP (Olympic Development Program) water polo team member, and played on our Intermediate team. Kaya provided a steady calm to the team with her consistent play and positive attitude. She came to the pool ready to work hard everyday, and always remained focused on getting better. In one game, her goal against Punahou in the final minute of regulation tied the game, allowing Mid-Pacific to take the game into overtime.
