In keeping with our philosophy of preparing well-rounded citizens, Mid-Pacific students enjoy many opportunities to participate in athletics.
The school offers an extensive athletic program, supporting 43 Varsity teams in 21 different sports. Throughout the year we are proud to field more than 100 teams, and offer interscholastic opportunities to students beginning in 4th grade. Mid-Pacific competes in the ILH (Interscholastic League of Honolulu) conference, and is a member of the HHSAA (Hawai’i High Schools Athletic Association). We compete as part of Pac-5 athletics for football, cheerleading and wrestling – and all other sports compete as Mid-Pacific Owls.
As a frequent finalist for the prestigious HMSA Kaimana Award, we pride ourselves that we are able to compete at the highest level of competition in the state, yet are recognized for combining that success on the field with good sportsmanship, academic achievement, and community service.
There is a very strong culture of supporting student-athletes at Mid-Pacific, as more than 63 percent of our students participate in at least one team throughout the year.
Many athletes find opportunities to excel at Mid-Pacific that they may not find at larger schools. Our athletes and coaches are frequent recipients of statewide recognition, including Athlete of the Year, and Coach of the Year honors, and we have a strong history of sending athletes on to compete at the next level.
