MPI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AWARDS
The MPI Alumni Association Board of Directors will present two awards at the 2009 Alumni Weekend Luau on Saturday, April 25. Nominations are currently being accepted for the Alumni of the Year and the Wa'ahila Award.
To make a nomination, simply submit the person's name, graduation year, and a brief description of why that individual is deserving of the award, to Alumni Director Kerry Wheeler at alumni@midpac.edu or 2445 Kaala St., Honolulu, HI 96822.
The deadline to make a nomination is MONDAY, JANUARY 12, 2009.
Alumni of the Year: This is the highest award of the MPI Alumni Association and is presented to a person who provides outstanding service to the school, displays a strong sense of support and loyalty, and has dedicated significant effort to the improvement of Mid-Pacific Institute. (Graduate of MPI is preferred; former MPI students but non-graduates can be considered.)
The Wa'ahila Award: The Wa'ahila Award honors a graduate of MPI who excels in his/her field of endeavor and has attained a level of prominence within the community, which reflects favorably on MPI. The Wa'ahila Award will also honor an individual who is closely associated with MPI and has contributed significantly to the advancement and prominence of MPI. (Graduate of MPI is preferred; non-graduates with ties to MPI can be considered.).
