MPI Student Programs
Aloha MPI Alumni!
One of the initiatives for the alumni this year is Student Programs. The objective is to involve alumni in ways that allow them to interact with and support current MPI students (from pre-school-12th grade). There are seven main ideas:
- Provide MPI faculty members the opportunity to invite MPI alumni to speak in their classrooms on topics of interest or in areas of expertise.
- Provide mentoring to MPI students involved in competitions (such as a Science Fair).
- Serve as judges for MPI competitions or presentations.
- Be a presenter at a career day program.
- Serve as a mentor for a student interested in a particular occupation.
- Provide basic foreign language (Japanese, Chinese or Spanish) lessons (15 minutes in length) to the preschool/elementary school students.
- Take the MPI school history "on the road" by meeting with students and sharing aspects of the school's past with them.
If you are interested in participating in any/all of the ideas listed above, please let me know. Upon replying, please provide me with the following information:
- Full name (include maiden if applicable)
- Class year
- Area you are interested in participating (classroom presenter, competition mentor, judge, career day presenster, occupation mentor, foreign language teacher, history presenter)
- Area of expertise (education, banking, technology, dance, etc.)
- Employer and job title (whether current or retired)
Please email your information to Alumni Director Kerry Gudoy at alumni@midpac.edu
